Amendment of terms applied for the payment of winnings during the bank holiday
Responding to the new circumstances of the Bank Holiday that refer to the operation of the Greek banking system presently and aiming at the better service of customers and the network of OPAP S.A. agents, during the bank holiday period, the following changes will apply:
Amendment of limits on cash payments (for OPAP S.A. and Hellenic Lotteries S.A.)
1. For gross winnings before tax of up to 199,99 EUR, payment is made in cash
2. For 200-800 EUR gross winnings before tax, payment is made in the following alternative ways:
a. in cash (without the right to receive acknowledgement of winnings), or
b. in case the winner wishes to receive acknowledgement of winnings, winnings are paid with a payment order issued by a bank or through the new procedure of payment of winnings to the bank accounts of beneficiaries that is extraordinarily applied from 7/7/2015 and for the period that the bank holiday applies (more information on www.opap.gr/el/web/corporate.opap.gr/kerdi).
3. For amounts above 800,01 EUR, payment will be made exclusively according to what is described in paragraph 2b.
The above limits are applied for encashment as of 10/7/2015.
This specific process will take place exclusively at the central offices of OPAP at Athens (L.Athinon 108, Athens) and at Salonica (St. George 5, Cosmos Office, building 1, Pilaia Salonica) every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, between 08:30 and 14:00.
The winnings' beneficiaries must deposit filled-in the relevant form of OPAP "Request of Payment due to Bank Holiday", plus the following documentation, that is absolutely necessary in order for the process to take place:
a) Original form for payment request from the bank (provided from the OPAP stores)
b) A photo-copy of your ID or Passport
c) IBAN proof (Copy of the 1st page of you bank book)
d) Your Tax ID (through tax statement or a bill from a public company etc)
Kindly notice, that this process can be also performed through the Postal Service by sending the aforementioned documentation and the completed "Request of Payment due to Bank Holiday" to the central offices of OPAP S.A. in Athens (to the attention of the Customer Service Center of OPAP S.A.)
This process is valid only for the "Bank Holiday" period.
Prizes (winnings) shall be paid out to holders of Valid Winning Lottery Tickets on presentation of the physical ticket. Prizes after taxes are paid out to winners by methods of payment that vary according to the size of the amount. Specifically:
Gross Winnings up to 100€ per ticket may be collected from any Hellenic Lotteries S.A. point of sale without displaying official documentation. You may also collect your prize from any street vendor.
Gross Winnings from 100,01€ to 800€ per ticket can be collected at any OPAP S.A. retailer operating as an official point of sale for Hellenic Lotteries S.A.If you wish, for winnings from 200€ up to 800€, you could collect the relevant amount at a bank specified by Hellenic Lotteries S.A.. To proceed into this way of payment, you would need a payment order, issued from any OPAP S.A. retailer operating as a Hellenic Lotteries S.A. point of sale.
Gross Winnings from 800,01€ to 10.000€ per ticket can be collected at a bank specified by Hellenic Lotteries S.A. after a payment order is issued by any OPAP S.A. retailer operating as a Hellenic Lotteries S.A. point of sale.
Gross Winnings over 10.000,01€ per ticket can be collected at a bank specified by Hellenic Lotteries S.A. after a payment order is issued by Hellenic Lotteries S.A.(Athens or Thessaloniki).
Prizes, after taxes corresponding to the Valid Winning Lottery Ticket have been deducted, are paid after being truncated to the two first decimals.
Hellenic Lotteries S.A. may defer payment of the prizes until the validity of a ticket is determined through the Validation or Rectification procedures, as described in the Special Gaming Rules, here (in Greek only).
